Rando Kim is a Professor in the Department of Consumer Studies at Seoul National University, South Korea, and a leading expert on consumer trends and youth culture. He is the author of the bestselling Trend Korea series (2008-2024), which has consistently topped bestseller lists since 2012. He also authored the Consumer Trend Insight series (2020-2024), offering English-language insights into Korean consumer behavior. His book Youth, It's Painful is a bestseller in Korea, with over two million copies sold, and has been translated into 18 languages.
