TikTok will be banned on 19th January, after the Supreme Court rejected an appeal by its parent company, Bytedance, unless it sells its US arm to an American company.

TikTok have explicitly denied ever sharing US user data with the Chinese government.
But ahead of the ban, a Chinese app called RedNote is topping the App store charts in the US and UK.
