Calls for more action to help tackle domestic violence in NT | 7.30
The Northern Territory Coroner Elisabeth Armitage described the immediacy of the domestic violence crisis for Indigenous women in the NT, saying: "Domestic and family violence is present in our homes, on our streets, in our shopping centres and parks, on our beaches and at our bus stops. It is happening right now."
She was speaking at the conclusion of a landmark inquiry into the deaths of four Aboriginal women.
