They Sold FAKE Agile, Then Blamed The Programmers!
It's been enough years now that I can safely share the story of one of the craziest software projects I've ever had the misfortune of working on. The project started off with a major red flag when the sales executive who sold it to a client quit before it started. Then the architect estimated everything for a different team that was committed to it. They called it agile, but it was fake agile as usual.
But that's only the start of it. Things got weird when the client's history, rumors, and fired employees collided. I hope this story of a real software project I've been on gives you some hope that you're not alone. They tried to blame the programmers in the end, and it (kind of) worked. Luckily nobody was fired in the process. But fake agile has a way of bringing out the worst in everyone!
