These tools have allowed developers to extend NGINX to solve their specific problems and has pushed NGINX to become one of the most popular webservers of all time. With the addition of WebAssembly, the flexibility of NGINX could be extended to even more of the world’s developers while opening avenues for better plugin compatibility with other proxies.
