Marc Lore: Be bold, be risky | New York Next #shorts
Wonder is delivering food to New Yorkers “hot, fast, and on-time.” That’s the promise of Marc Lore, founder and CEO of Wonder Group. Their app allows hungry customers to order from up to 30 different restaurants in one click – from Bobby Flay Steak down to the typical takeout fare.
Lore welcomed NYNext host Lydia Moynihan into Wonder’s location at Hudson Square, the NYC neighborhood west of Soho and north of Tribeca. He explained that each brick-and-mortar shop has a 2,800-square-foot electric kitchen – no open flames and no trained chefs.
Find out more about the unique business model, Wonder’s $103 million acquisition of Blue Apron, and how Lore sees the future of food in the next five to 10 years. “The long-term goal and vision is to build an AI platform that is able to autonomously feed you,” he said.
