For the second time in less than a month, tens of thousands of workers in the country's biggest construction unions downed their tools in Sydney and Melbourne and took to the streets to protest the administration of the CFMEU.
Union leaders are angry at the government's intervention and have warned workers’ pay and conditions are at risk, while the lawyers tasked with cleaning up the troubled union have been given fresh powers to investigate.
