Plan for new high-rise apartments in Melbourne’s suburbs sparks backlash | 7.30

The Victorian government says by 2050 Melbourne will be home to nearly 8 million people.
And as part of a plan to future proof the city it wants to introduce swathes of new housing stock to make it easier for people to buy a home.
But critics of the scheme say it threatens Melbourne's reputation as one of the world's most liveable cities.
