Streets of History | Gold Rush Boom Town | Destination Adventure
Skagway is one of the strangest towns I have visited, because it remains the same to day in many ways, as it did during the gold rush. It has always maintained the original gold rush era architecture, it's economy has been supported mostly upon travellers passing through, and it is wildly pristine. The drive in and out of Skagway is worth the trip all on it's own. The final hill into town though, is quite steep, and the MoHo had a bit of a tough time coming to a stop. Half way down I noticed the brakes getting pretty soft. I knew I could still pump them solid, but it was time to find a place to stop ASAP. I found a big pull out, and I had to really work it to get to a stop, but she did. I have been chasing some air in my brakes for a few weeks now, because its tough to get a proper bleed when you're doing it solo, but I seemed to get it good and solid for now. Arriving to Skagway, I wasn't really shocked, because I have been here so many times before when I worked on ships. It is a very important town in our North America history, so I wanted to bring it on the channel, but this year I don't have time for an adventure here. Heading to Prince Rupert to surprise my friends was an exciting experience. I am very disappointed we encountered the weather we did here, but I had an amazing day none the less. The driving I have done lately in the north, with the autumn colours, has been absolutely amazing. I hope you have enjoyed these drone shot travel sequences. The landscapes here are so vast and glorious, I have found that the drone is the only way to properly capture it. If you did enjoy this episode, I hope you may consider helping support the channel. I have some wonderful folks supporting on Patreon, and some awesome swag over on the Merch site.
