Bill Shorten says goodbye to politics | 7.30

The kingmaker rarely becomes the King, but Bill Shorten, the numbers man who grasped the leadership of the Australian Labor Party, did just that.
He delivered his valedictory speech on Thursday, farewelling parliament after 17 years. He took the opportunity of a captive political audience not just to celebrate his career but to urge his colleagues to greater ambition including on tax.
