The Tear Down | Expedition Truck Build EP.02 | Destination Adventure
The tear down has officially begun, and it feels great. Well, it feels great and also a little intimidating, because I am beginning to see the task ahead of me. I knew it would be a big job, so I am not surprised, but it still feels crazy to look out the window and see the truck instead of some wilderness. This week and next are mostly tear down, because some big jobs have to be completed before I am able to start rebuilding, building and upgrading. This process is all very important to me, because this is what will help me to understand this rig inside and out.
People are always so surprised to hear of the places I take my old motorhome, but I have no problem doing it because I know the old girl so well and I know how to fix her. This truck will be going even more remote, and more isolated, so I need to be confident with it.
I am going to try and make these episodes as long as I can, but it is tough to balance both jobs. This weeks episode I really had fun with the editing, and I am really proud of the result. Lots of fun playing with speed ramping and audio, but this all takes time. Winter in Canada is long, but my job is to make an awesome Expedition Truck and an awesome Build Series on it, so I am thankful to have the winter season to do so.
