New Android features help you share and connect with the people that matter — while helping you stay focused on the task at hand. Here's what's new:
- See the emotion behind speech in live videos. Expressive Captions now shows when someone is [joyful] or [sad] – using real-time AI that works across your apps.(1)
- Make your important calls stand out. With Call Reason (in beta), coming soon, you can flag a call to a saved contact as ‘urgent’, which lets them know it’s time-sensitive so they can prioritize answering or getting back to you.(2)
- Receive alerts on potential spam chats as soon as you’re added. If an unknown number invites you to a group in Google Messages, you’ll see one-tap actions to leave the group, block the number, and report it as spam.(3)
- Check for scams right when you see suspicious text. Whether it’s a chat or text, use Circle to Search to identify red flags – without needing to switch apps or copy text.(4)
