I couldn’t possibly fit enough nuance into a 1 minute video for this debate, there’s plenty of good and bad on both sides. I find the technology very exciting, but it’s just another tool to bring human creativity to life.
And no, I don’t think recreating a Miyazaki trailer with AI is the future of filmmaking, but there are many other tools and workflows that incorporate generative AI that are.
