Salisbury attack: Putin ‘morally responsible’ for Novichok death
The UK has sanctioned Russia's military intelligence agency, the GRU, after an inquiry concluded that Vladimir Putin bears "moral responsibility" for the death of Dawn Sturgess.

She was poisoned by Novichok, left in a discarded perfume bottle by the Russian agents who tried to kill former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter months earlier.
The inquiry branded Russia's president "astonishingly reckless" for deploying a nerve agent which could have killed many thousands.
