Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández - a convicted drug trafficker sentenced in the US to 45-years in prison - now free thanks to a Presidential pardon from Donald Trump.

Hernández is also accused of taking bribes from Mexican drug cartels and running Honduras as a narcostate. Not a man then, that you’d expect the US President to pardon - after casting himself as an uncompromising crusader in the fight against drug trafficking.
