Adelaide Writers’ Week cancelled amid controversy | 7.30
This year's Adelaide Writers' Week has been cancelled after being engulfed in controversy following the decision to disinvite Australian-Palestinian author Randa Abdel-Fattah.
The move prompted nearly 200 writers to pull out of the event in protest, and earlier today Adelaide Writers' Week director Louise Adler resigned, saying she could not be party to silencing writers.
