Mom of 4 who moved to US chasing the American dream is found dead in a dumpster, husband charged
A mom of four who moved to the US chasing the American dream has been found dead in a Pennsylvania dumpster — with her “disinterested” husband busted for her murder, according to her family and officials.
Ecuador native Lucrecia Jadan Sumba — who moved to New Jersey “looking for a better future for her family” in 2021 — was reported missing last Thursday after failing to show up for work at Princess Nails in Elizabeth, according to a family fundraiser.
The 39-year-old mom’s body was found Saturday in a dumpster in Coopersburg, Pa., officials said. She died of “sharp force injuries,” a spokesperson for the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office told The Post.
Her husband, Rolando Corte, 42, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, according to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.
Despite having been with Sumba for 23 years — since the mom was a teen — Corte allegedly “seemed very disinterested of her whereabouts” when her co-workers panicked about her failing to show for work, the family’s fundraiser said.
