Single Sign On with AWS IAM Identity Center using Amazon Redshift Drivers | Amazon Web Services
This is a demonstration to show how to integrate AWS IAM Identity Center with Amazon Redshift to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) using SQL clients and Redshift drivers. This integration allows users to access Amazon Redshift and other AWS services seamlessly with their corporate identity credentials, avoiding the need to manage multiple sets of credentials. Users can connect to Amazon Redshift via JDBC, Python, and ODBC drivers using their preferred identity provider (e.g., Microsoft Entra Id, Okta). To set up this integration, customers need to configure specific fields in their driver settings and use a browser plugin for authentication. Once authenticated, users will have access to data according to permissions set in Redshift roles or AWS Lake Formation.
This feature is available in the AWS regions where both AWS IAM Identity Center and Amazon Redshift are available. For more information:
