Research shared exclusively with this programme by the Youth Endowment Fund - a charity working to prevent youth violence - reveals that children directly affected by violence are twice as likely to attend youth clubs regularly as those who have not.
And without greater protection for those services, campaigners fear that already high rates of knife crime could soar further.
