Today Intel officially releases their 5th node in four years the 18A (angstrom) Lunar Lake CPU. But wait where is the 20A? Its Arrow Lake and its coming soon.
Lunar Lake is certainly an interesting design, but its a major shift in direction after 50 years of ever increasing performance, and suddenly it all about power efficiency. Sorta feels like traveling at 200 mph or 321 km / hour and suddenly we install a tiny engine in our car hoping for the same performance.
