Melania Trump says that her upcoming memoir will give readers “the truth” — casting herself in a new ad as the victim of “misrepresentation” during her husband Donald Trump’s time in the spotlight.
“Writing this memoir has been a deeply personal and reflective journey for me,” the former and possibly future first lady says in the promo video released Thursday, which shows images of her touring Africa and hosting events for her anti-bullying “Be Best” initiative.
“As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts,” she adds.
“I believe it is important to share my perspective, the truth.”
Melania, 54, was born in what is now Slovenia and worked as a fashion model before marrying the billionaire future president in 2005.
