It certainly sounds like Chris Squire, but if you go by the album’s liner notes, it’s @tonylevin stepping in to fill the same space as Squire once did, delivering a prominent, treble-loaded tone via a Music Man StingRay 5-string.
“I believe it was Bill Bruford who asked that I be in that band,” said Levin. “We’d had a great time together in Crimson, of course, in the 80’s, and it was a great chance to be a rhythm section again. Bill and I found our groove, as usual, without needing too much discussion about it.”
