Labour MP Tulip Siddiq has been sentenced to two years in prison and a 100,000 Bangladeshi Taka (£620) fine following a corruption trial in Bangladesh.

She was tried in absentia alongside her aunt, Bangladesh’s former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 14 other people.
Tulip has denied the allegations and said the process was "flawed and farcical from the beginning to the end".
Earlier this year, Tulip, the sitting MP for Hampstead and Highgate in London resigned as a government minister amid pressure following these allegations.
