The success or failure of the climate summit in Egypt hangs in the balance, with both rich and poor nations still wrangling over the draft deal, almost 24 hours after the event was meant to have ended.

The deal is deadlocked over how much money richer countries should pay poorer countries affected by climate change and concerns that the summit could backtrack on commitments to limit climate change to 1.5 degrees celsius.
