Demonstrators clash with police during South Korea protests over martial law
Demonstrators clashed with police outside of South Korea's parliament after the president declared an "emergency martial law."
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said the measure was necessary due to the actions of the country's opposition, which he accused of controlling parliament, sympathizing with North Korea and paralyzing the government.
South Korea's National Assembly later voted to demand the president lift the martial law declaration.
