Therefore, starting in 2026, Apple will launch iPhones twice a year, allowing the company to operate more flexibly while easing pressure on its production lines. Specifically, Apple is planning a bold new approach for the upcoming iPhone 18 lineup by splitting the release schedule into two separate phases.
In fall 2026, the stage will no longer belong to the standard iPhone models. Instead, Apple will unveil only the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the highly anticipated iPhone 18 Fold. This means the cheapest iPhones customers will be able to buy during Apple’s main late-2026 launch will be the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro — with starting prices projected to begin at $1,999.
