So you'll have to excuse me. This isn't an English lesson. This week I thought I would do something a little bit different. You see, I've been teaching English here on YouTube for over seven years. Almost eight years I think in January it will be eight years. And during that time, you have all seen me. You know what I look like. If you saw me on the street, you would recognize me. But I actually don't know what any of you look like. So I have a special request this week.
I would love it if you would take a picture of yourself and send it to me. You can send it to the email address on the screen, video@bobthecanadian.com and make sure you tell me what your first name is as well. And if you send me a picture, I will feature it on my live stream on Saturday. This coming Saturday, I'll be doing a live English Q and A lesson. And during the lesson, I will pause from time to time and show pictures of people who watch my English lessons.
Now, maybe you're not comfortable taking your photo. I've created some example photos that you can send. You can send photos where I can see your face. You can send photos like the ones that you're seeing to the left of me right now. Or you can send photos where I can't see your face, where I just see your office, where you study English. Or maybe something outside like the examples I'm showing you now.
So this isn't something where I want to see exactly what all of you look like. Although I am curious sometimes. You see me, but I never actually get a chance to see who you are. So if you could take a moment, maybe you need a friend to help take a photo. Follow the examples I've given you. Make sure they are vertical in nature so that I can nicely show them to the side of me during my live stream.
And if you send a photo to video@bobthecanadian.com and if you give me your first name, you are also giving me permission to show that photo on my YouTube channel. So I think this will be kind of fun.
I'm not sure how many photos I'll get. Maybe 10, maybe 50, maybe 100. Maybe too many and I'll have to live stream for five hours to show all the photos. Who knows? It could be just a lot. But again, I'm curious. I know you look forward to an English lesson every week, and I'm letting you down by simply asking you for something, but I think this will be kind of fun.
So find a camera. Find a phone. Take a photo. Send it to video@bobthecanadian.com and we'll see what we can do with it. Thanks. Bye.
