All of a sudden the term Ai art is inescapable, and ever since people have been asking me to make videos about it, to use it etcetera. However, I will not. At least not in the way you guys wanted me to. I believe everything about Ai art is wrong, starting with the very term Ai art.
Ai art… doesn’t exist. Automatically randomly generated imagery, whatever that may be, can and will never be art. I really don’t wanna dive too deep into the “wat is art” topic because oh my what a difficult conversation that is… but to me at least Art is all about… everything BUT the end result from a technical standpoint. It’s not what you objectively made, it’s HOW you made it, WHY you made it, the style you used, the way you made it look… everything that makes it unique and that makes it YOUR work. You probably get where I’m going with this, if a computer makes something… it’s random. It’s based on trillions of already existing pieces of digital content spread around the internet. It’s meaningless fluff that right now anyone can get their hands on and claim as their own creation.
