Need to make sure people ‘can express their faith’ | 7.30

Independent MP Allegra Spender says some in Sydney’s Jewish community have been frustrated when they’ve been told to “hide their Jewish symbols”.
She made the comments on 7.30 while discussing the police response to anti-Semitism in the community.
“That's not our country,” Ms Spender told 7.30. “You would never ask someone to take off a head scarf.
“We need to make sure that people can go around in their lives expressing their faith in an appropriate, a reasonable way.”
