Is China’s mega embassy in London a threat to UK national security?

Hundreds of people have gathered to protest against China's plans to build a mega embassy in central London.

Among them the Conservative party leader Kemi Badenoch who urged the government not to give the go-ahead for the site.
Ministers have come under pressure to reject planning permission for the embassy which critics fear could be used to target dissidents and to spy on critical communications.
