
Flooding and landslide cause disruption in Italy
The authorities in Italy have warned that it could take months to repair roads that have been damaged by severe weather. Flooding caused the collapse of a bridge over the Trigno River and a landslide cut off rail and motorway traffic along the country’s eastern corridor.
The landslide in the Molise region in the middle of the Adriatic coast forced dozens of residents to evacuate.
