Hi, My name is Micah Reed, and I’ve been a professional musician for over 24 years, building shows for corporate functions and large events across Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and beyond. I started singing at the age of four, performing live with my family as my dad was a pastor. I even earned a full vocal scholarship to Liberty University, sang for the President of Kenya, and appeared on American Idol in 2004, making it to the top 56 alongside Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia Barrino. Over the years, I’ve built large-scale productions, publishing books, writing songs, and mentoring artists. Most recently, I’ve shifted focus toward integrating storytelling, ethics, and technology—particularly AI—into my creative and professional work.
So far, my learning experience has been positive. The biggest factor is the quality of the instructor—I really like my trainer, which makes learning even difficult concepts approachable. The Python refresher and generative AI modules were great, and I’m enjoying diving into neural networks and higher-order concepts. The projects and demos have been useful, though sometimes the prompts felt incomplete, which made debugging frustrating. Still, the access to recordings, online resources, and flexibility of learning at my own pace has been extremely valuable. I also appreciate being able to revisit classes at faster playback speeds, which helps me manage time better. Overall, the structured, cohort-based approach is helping me build both foundational and advanced AI knowledge.
