Terracotta Army - Incredible Underground Complex
On March 29th of 1974, a group of farmers were digging a well. While doing so, they came across a strange roof. Under that roof they found a massive terracotta army. Consisting of 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots, and 520 horses, the complex was determined to be the resting place of the First Qin Emperor. Yet, there was no tomb. While strange, it turns out that the tomb is located in a complex even deeper underground. This complex is home to three subterranean streams, models of pavilions, and buildings filled with precious stones and rarities. Allegedly, this is all protected by mechanically triggered crossbows set to shoot any intruders.
But crossbows aside, why haven’t we gone inside?
Well, the main reason is because the Chinese government fears that opening up the underground vault may damage everything inside. However, once they figure out how to do it safely, they’ll certainly venture in!
