PlayStation Is Already Shutting Down Concord - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:
Sony is pulling the plug on Concord, its long-in-development hero shooter, after abysmal player numbers sealed its fate. Reportedly, the game has sold around 25,000 units across Steam and PS5, and concurrents on Steam dropped to a few dozen at times; not the kind of numbers Sony was hoping to sustain a game that likely cost tens of millions of dollars to develop and market. Players who bought the game via Steam and PSN will be getting refunds. In other news, Phil Spencer, of Xbox fame, has some regrets in his stories carreer. Spencer passed on games like Destiny and Guitar Hero, but he definitely has a few wins on his record to balance that out. And finally, The Italian folklore-inspired Enotria is delayed indefinitely on Xbox as the developers claim Xbox basically ghosted them. Ouch.
