Horse manure, acid, and pepper spray: police clash with protesters in Australia
Anti-war protesters have clashed with police outside a military weapons convention in Melbourne, Australia.
Police said the protesters hurled bottles, rocks and horse manure, and sprayed them with liquid irritants, including acid. 24 officers were injured.
Police responded with pepper spray, flash distraction devices and rubber bullets. 39 protesters were arrested.
