Asteroid identified as CAQTDL2 illuminates sky over northern Philippines #shorts
A small asteroid discovered on Wednesday, September 4, burned up in the Earth’s atmosphere on the same day, according to NASA.
The asteroid would “create a fireball off the east coast of the northern Philippines”, it said in the post.
Astronomers at the Catalina Sky Survey in Arizona discovered it and initially called it CAQTDL2.
Video shared by Raymon Dullana on X shows the asteroid streaking across the sky in Cagayan.
