Budget: GPs urge chancellor for National Insurance exemption

Leading GPs have urged the Chancellor to make practices exempt from the higher national insurance contributions by employers - announced in this week's budget.

They said it could force some care homes to shut down altogether - while surgeries which are already struggling to keep going would have to lay off staff.
