Serial rapist sentenced to 124 years released after 20

Convicted serial rapist Andrew Luster has been released after serving 20 years of his 124-year sentence for drugging and raping three women.

Luster was released under California Proposition 57, which allows early parole for non-violent offenders. The rape of an unconscious person is not considered violent under California law, making Luster eligible for parole.
