‘Big Inflatable Deathrun’ is a UEFN-built island that takes inspiration from platformer-style games and has won many fans on Fortnite. Players navigate a perilous inflatable obstacle course, competing to top the leaderboard with the fastest time. All the game’s moving parts are controlled by the Sequencer nonlinear animation editor, from the swinging hammers to the cutscene camera transitions. The experience also makes fantastic use of custom sound effects alongside a witty commentator voiceover that reacts to the action. Impressively, the island’s creator BonnieKiwi learned all his skills through the community and has just four years’ experience creating games in Fortnite.
