Hellboy's life hangs in the balance as he lies unconscious in Liz Sherman's arms. Desperate to save him, Liz pleads with the mysterious Angel of Death for help, but the angel reveals that Hellboy's survival comes with a terrible price.
The Angel of Death warns Liz that saving Hellboy could have devastating consequences for humanity, leaving her with an impossible choice. Despite knowing the risks, Liz refuses to give up on the man she loves, choosing to save his life regardless of what the future may hold.
