Just Shadow Me! Speak English Like an American ??
Shadowing is when you try to say something in the exact same way (using the same pronunciation, intonation, emphasis, and pacing). ?
Let's practice shadowing with a well-known poem, and we will focus on developing the following.
1. Rhythm & Flow (stress-timing)
2. Intonation (rising & falling)
3. Connected Speech (linking, reductions, assimilation, etc.)
Mastering these three parts of your speech will help you speak smoothly and naturally.
This will also help train your mouth muscles in order to emulate the American accent. ??
