Alec Baldwin Ordered to Face Civil Trial Over ‘Rust’ Shooting

A judge on Friday ordered actor Alec Baldwin to face a civil trial over alleged negligence on the set of the film “Rust.” The new complaint comes from a crew member who claims the incident caused him emotional distress. Baldwin was charged with manslaughter in 2021 after firing a gun and killing the film’s cinematographer. The original case was dismissed in July 2024.
