The Right Way To Think About The Fretboard #guitar
You need to know the notes on the fretboard, but you need to organize the notes in a useful way so that you can play better solos!
Just knowing the notes doesn't make you play better that is just a lot of information that you can't do anything with, so instead, tie it to a scale and use the scale to learn where the notes are. And keep in mind what interval each note is in the scale, because you can move that around to other keys.
It is still not nuanced enough, you need the chord tones as well that well make a massive difference!
