Israel looking into potential criminal investigation over drone strikes on aid workers | 7.30
The government has appointed former chief of the Australian Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin, as a special advisor to the Israeli investigation into the death of Zomi Frankcom and her World Central Kitchen colleagues.
The Prime Minister rejected as "inadequate" the IDF's review of the drone strikes which killed the aid workers shortly after they had unloaded aid at a warehouse in central Gaza.
The IDF's investigation found a series of failures led to the attack. It says it will dismiss two officers involved in the strikes and reprimand two others.
Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner is a spokesperson for the Israeli Defence Force and he spoke to Sarah Ferguson.
