Making Neighbours House Sign from Scrap Wood #woodworking #upcycling #gift #cnc #shorts
I created this sign for a neighbour from some scrap wood he bought from a car boot sale.
After CNC'ing the text on my Snapmaker Artisan I painted the engraving with primer and then black enamel paint. After sanding to remove all the old layers of varnish and discoloured wood I was left with a beautiful solid wood grain which was brought to life with a few coats of boiled linseed oil.
My neighbour loves the sign and I enjoyed the challenge of his request. ?
