Bea (Sydney Sweeney) enters a bakery to go to the bathroom. When asking at the counter, the employee tells her that the bathroom is for customers only. Bea asks her to please let her go since it is an emergency. At that moment, a man named Ben (Glen Powell) who was in line to buy, acts as Bea's husband so that she can go to the bathroom.

Despite having an amazing first date, Bea and Ben's initial attraction quickly turns sour. When they unexpectedly find themselves at a destination wedding in Australia, the pair pretend to be the perfect couple to keep up appearances.
