Ken Paxton reportedly claims Trump's midterm convention hurt him politically

Texas GOP Senate nominee Ken Paxton reportedly told donors at a private fundraiser last week that President Trump’s midterm convention in Dallas had hurt him politically.

Nick Maddux, a senior advisor to Paxton's campaign, called the reporting "manipulated nonsense,” in a statement to ABC News.
