OG Wizards of Waverly Place Star Jake T. Austin 'Disappointed' to Be Left Out of Series Finale

'Wizards of Waverly Place' star Jake T. Austin shares his 'disappointment' in not being included in the reboot, 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.' The actor sharing on Instagram that he was asked if he would be interested in returning as 'Max Russo,' but 'the powers at be' took the show in a different direction which didn't include his character. Jake's message comes as his on-screen father, David DeLuise, also reacts to not being included in the reboot's 4-part finale, now streaming on Disney+, writing it was a 'missed opportunity,' in ET's comment section.
