I was commissioned to write a piece for solo sax and electronics, something I have never done before. I decided I would approach the composition in the same way that I improvise with other musicians. I would compose as if I was on stage with the performer, Dr. Hall. The "live" setup I created for this ended up writing a good part of the music for me, in a human/machine feedback loop.
