GIANT Modular 7 Segment Display - Easy DIY Guide
An easy to build Extendable and Reprogrammable Giant 7 Segment Display. Examples for Arduino Nano/Uno and Wemos D1 Mini (ESP8266) included.
This video is sponsored by PCBway. ? More info below ?
Build a large and very bright seven segment display to show numbers, words, or animations for your own project. Example code and wiring diagrams are included for both the Arduino Nano and Wemos D1 Mini (ESP8266). Personalise it to your needs by including more hardware, such as thermometers, motion detection, buttons etc or use a Wemos D1 Mini to connect it to WiFi and show dynamic readings from the Web or your local network.

Some wood for the frame. I used four pieces of pine 20x68x436mm (x2) and 20x68x381mm (x2)
To work out the wood lengths for different thickness of wood please take a look at the cheat sheet I made for you here: www.diymachines.co.uk/
■ Glue (I used Wood glue and Gorilla Glue): https://geni.us/Gorilla-Glue
These are some of my favourite tools I use and can recommend:
■ Battery-powered glue gun: http://geni.us/BoschBatteryGlueGun
■ Bosch Bit Driver: https://geni.us/Bosch-Screwdriver
I use a Prusa MK3S for my projects and highly recommend both it and the Prusa Mini. If I inspired you to take up 3D printing please consider purchasing a printer via this link: http://shop.prusa3d.com/#a_aid=diymachines
